Assistant Community Manager - Temporary

About the role

This temporary position supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a residential community. Responsibilities include accounting, rent collection, invoice processing, and using property‑management software to maintain accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite (or similar) property‑management software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and coordinate approvals.
• Assist with eviction procedures, move‑out processing, and resident satisfaction initiatives.
• Act as on‑site supervisor in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and daily operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in residence life or property management.
• Understanding of lease terms, collections, and lease enforcement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Entrata.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management programs.
• Ability to use internet and other office productivity tools effectively.
