Assistant Community Manager – Stella

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a 244‑unit stabilized apartment community in Stella, CA. The role involves daily accounting, rent collection, invoice processing, and resident interaction to ensure smooth community operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata) to record transactions, generate financial reports, and maintain system integrity.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and coordinate approvals.
• Assist with eviction procedures, move‑out processing, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Act as on‑site supervisor in the manager’s absence, delegating tasks and coordinating maintenance.
• Support leasing and marketing activities, including greeting prospects and assisting with applications.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as an Assistant Community Manager or similar property management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of lease terms, collections, and resident relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and detail‑oriented work style.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and Entrata.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite, spreadsheet and database management tools.
