Assistant Community Manager – Oak Park

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of an apartment community, handling accounting tasks, rent collection, invoicing, and resident relations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments, prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate property management software (Yardi/OneSite) to enter transactions, generate financial reports, and maintain system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges, and coordinate payments with community manager approval.
• Assist with resident move‑outs, lease term reviews, and eviction procedures as required.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in property or community management, with a focus on financial operations.
• Understanding of lease terms, collections, and resident relations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and detail‑oriented work style.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or Entrata.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel, and general database management.
• Valid driver’s license for on‑site mobility.
