About the role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Liberty Warehouse property. This full‑time, on‑site position involves handling rent collections, invoicing, bank deposits, and using property management software to maintain accurate financial records.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
- Operate Yardi/OneSite (or similar) software, ensuring accurate data entry, updates, and backups.
- Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
- Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges, and coordinate payments.
- Follow eviction procedures, represent the community in court hearings, and manage resident move‑outs.
- Respond to resident complaints and requests promptly to promote satisfaction and retention.
- Supervise on‑site activities in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and make‑ready tasks.
- Assist with owner relations, providing performance updates and conducting community tours.
- Support leasing and marketing by greeting prospects, showing apartments, and assisting with applications.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 1‑3 years of relevant experience in property or community management.
- Understanding of lease terms, collections, and lease enforcement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, etc.).
- Strong skills in internet use, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
- Valid driver’s license for on‑site transportation.
- All required state and local licenses/certifications.
