Assistant Coach – Women’s Rowing

About the role

The University of Tulsa is seeking an Assistant Coach for its NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing program. Reporting to the Head Women’s Rowing Coach, you will help develop student‑athletes in a competitive, academically focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily preparation and coordination of team practices.
• Support the head coach with rowing operations, travel logistics, recruiting, equipment management, and budget oversight.
• Coordinate and manage on‑campus regattas.
• Participate in recruiting highly skilled student‑athletes and promote the women’s rowing program.
• Develop programs to aid student‑athletes’ transition to college life and assist novice rower development.
• Perform necessary administrative duties and contribute to marketing efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of collegiate coaching experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication, strong organizational skills, and a self‑starter attitude.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and ability to work within the American Athletic Conference.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of athletes, staff, alumni, and the public.
