About the role
The Assistant Administrative Director, Child Development will support the leadership, administration and daily operations of Little Tokyo Service Center’s Child Development programs, ensuring high‑quality services for children and families.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Administrative Director and program leaders in managing center‑based and early childhood education services.
- Develop and maintain administrative systems, policies, procedures and workflows.
- Coordinate program goals, annual work plans and continuous quality‑improvement activities.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, local, licensing and funder requirements.
- Administer and track government contracts, grants, sub‑contracts and other funding agreements.
- Oversee budgets, contracts, funder relationships and staff supervision.
- Identify operational challenges and propose practical solutions.
- Support planning for program growth, new initiatives and external partnerships.
Required profile
- Experience in program administration and operations within child development or early childhood education.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts and compliance systems.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills to work across multiple programs.
- Capacity to supervise staff and collaborate with external partners.
