Assembly First Level Manager

About the role

The Assembly First Level Manager ensures the manufacture of completed units by overseeing assembly of components into sub‑assemblies, joining structural assemblies, installing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and conducting testing. The role collaborates with engineering, management, suppliers and customers to meet product requirements and achieve customer acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team in developing solutions to complex problems and guide employees in the GMF assembly area to meet production targets.
• Oversee all assembly activities, including component sub‑assembly, structural joining, system installation and testing with mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
• Interface with engineering, management, suppliers and customers to ensure product specifications and acceptance criteria are satisfied.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum 4 years).
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional groups such as Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain and Machining.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and US citizenship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Google Workspace.
