Area Retail Manager

About the role

The Area Retail Manager will lead the year‑round retail operation at Driftwood Golf & Ranch Club, creating a world‑class shopping experience for members and guests. The role also supports the corporate retail team with swag and uniform sourcing for Maverick and Austin Surf Club, and assists with new store openings across Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing through the Management One open‑to‑buy system, including vendor communication, PO creation, and inventory tracking.
• Conduct monthly retail inventories and quarterly swag inventories, maintaining shrink parameters and sell‑through analysis.
• Merchandise the store with regular floor rotations, trunk shows, and promotional events to meet monthly revenue targets.
• Develop and implement SOPs, recruit and train retail staff, and oversee scheduling to ensure optimal floor coverage.
• Support Maverick and Austin Surf Club with swag sourcing, uniform purchases, and new property startup tasks.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of retail experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a luxury or hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift items up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Experience with point‑of‑sale systems (Jonas or TEI).
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with inventory management tools such as Management One.
