Area Portfolio Manager – Coated Abrasives

About the role

The USAC Area Portfolio Manager for Coated Abrasives will own the full product portfolio across its lifecycle, pricing, positioning and commercial execution. Reporting to regional leadership, you will drive growth by translating customer insights into actionable strategies and new‑product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead VOC/VOM initiatives to uncover customer‑driven growth opportunities.
• Manage product lifecycle and execute portfolio strategies across key segments and applications.
• Coordinate new product introductions (NPI) with global portfolio, marketing, sales and engineering teams to meet sales targets.
• Develop and implement pricing and positioning tactics grounded in market and customer insights.
• Contribute to marketing planning, channel tactics and sales enablement.
• Monitor portfolio performance monthly and adjust actions to meet financial goals.
• Handle special pricing requests, SKU set‑up and line‑extension approvals.
• Present portfolio updates and training to internal and external partners in live and virtual formats.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product or portfolio management within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business actions.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, working with global marketing, sales and engineering teams.
• Effective presentation and communication abilities, both live and virtual.
