Area Manager – Quality Assurance & Systems (USA)

About the role

The Area Manager – Quality Assurance & Systems is responsible for overseeing quality, safety, and system integrity across import, regional, returns, Sam's Club, and Walmart.com operations. You will lead a team, implement business plans, and ensure compliance with logistics policies.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate goals and expectations verbally and in writing to customers, suppliers, and associates.
• Implement business plans by managing staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to meet production, quality, and safety targets.
• Monitor productivity through preparation, review, and analysis of business reports.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by training associates on logistics policies and monitoring compliance.
• Identify and resolve associate, customer, or supplier concerns, providing corrective recommendations.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate associates and leaders, handling hiring, promotion, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Manage QA guidelines, inventory integrity, slot profiling, inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and hazardous material processing.
• Oversee hardware and software system maintenance, installation, repairs, and component ordering.
• Collaborate with the Information Systems Division and vendors to troubleshoot system applications and support ongoing development.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and workload coordination.
• Experience analyzing business reports and driving productivity improvements.
• Demonstrated leadership in supervising and developing associate teams.
• Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and inventory management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with IT and external vendors.
