Architectural Designer – Early Phase & Visualization

About the role

David Baker Architects is seeking a talented Designer to support early‑phase site planning, concept design, and schematic design projects. The role focuses on high‑quality renderings, plans, diagrams, massing studies, and Revit modeling while contributing to design charrettes and AI‑enhanced graphics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and documentation using Revit and Lumion.
• Create presentation graphics, renderings, and diagrams for internal and external communication.
• Integrate AI image‑generation and rendering tools into the design workflow.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and principals during charrettes and client meetings.
• Support marketing efforts, including award graphics and presentation materials.
• Participate in community engagement and inclusive design activities.
• Conduct iterative design studies based on feedback and personal design insights.

Required profile

• Strong architectural design thinking and visual communication skills.
• Critical thinking and intellectual curiosity about emerging design technologies.
• Willingness to learn about sustainability, equity, and research initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit.
• Experience using Lumion for 3D visualization.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Fluency in AI image‑generation and rendering tools.
