APRN/PA – Pediatric Cardiology in CVICU

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Pediatric Cardiology team in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This full‑time, onsite position provides advanced clinical care to critically ill children with cardiac conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing or physician assistant services to pediatric cardiology patients in the CVICU.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in emergency response, code situations, and rapid assessments as needed.
• Document clinical activities accurately in the electronic health record.

Required profile

• Current licensure as an APRN or PA in the state of Arkansas.
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric cardiology and critical care.
• Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and continuous learning.
