About the role
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) will provide specialized nursing support to the Pediatric Hematology Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) team at UAMS. This position focuses on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care to children undergoing hematologic and transplant therapies.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for pediatric BMT patients.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care, collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, medication management, and post‑transplant care.
- Monitor and manage acute and chronic complications associated with bone marrow transplantation.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Current APRN licensure with certification in pediatric nursing.
- Experience in pediatric hematology/oncology or bone marrow transplant care preferred.
- Legal authority to work in the United States.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
