Apprentice Automotive Technician – Service Center

About the role

Ferrari of Newport Beach is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Technician to join our service center. Working Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, you will support the repair and maintenance of high‑performance vehicles while gaining hands‑on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and execute necessary repairs.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain required components and tag warranty parts.
• Inspect assigned vehicles for additional safety or service needs and notify the service advisor promptly.
• Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
• Road‑test vehicles when required or coordinate with the test technician.
• Participate in manufacturer‑sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Stay current with manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Supervise other apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Report machinery defects or safety issues to management immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area and ensure customer vehicles remain clean.
• Account for dealership‑owned tools and manuals, returning them in proper condition.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment.
• Experience or training on exotic/high‑line automotive systems.
• Basic automotive repair and maintenance techniques.
• Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment.
