Applied Researcher, Audio Post-Training

About the role

On the Audio Post-Training team you will build and improve the capabilities that define how the world interacts with our generative audio models. This role bridges customer needs and research, covering the full spectrum from ideation to productionization.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to understand and prioritize customer requests.
• Design research plans to turn vague behavioral problems into concrete experiments.
• Ideate and experiment across data processing, synthetic data, SFT, RL, and evaluations to enhance model capabilities.
• Root‑cause failures in production models and devise fixes for future iterations.
• Decide which features and capabilities are ready for public launch.

Required profile

• Strong fundamentals in software engineering, machine learning, and debugging complex systems.
• Experience building and ensuring quality of large multilingual datasets.
• Experience training and debugging generative models (speech, text, or multimodal), especially using SFT, RL, synthetic data, and both human and automated evaluation.
• Passion for solving problems grounded in real customer needs rather than benchmarks.
• Bonus points for native proficiency in additional languages.
