Anti-Trafficking Caseworker

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dedicated Anti‑Trafficking Caseworker to join its Iowa team. In this role you will provide culturally appropriate, client‑centered case management to survivors of human trafficking, helping them achieve safety, autonomy, and self‑sufficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) and related regulations.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with local, state, and federal law‑enforcement agencies.
• Identify and refer victims of trafficking throughout Iowa.
• Conduct eligibility screenings and complete enrollment paperwork for all referrals.
• Deliver comprehensive case management, including needs assessments, safety planning, crisis intervention, and service‑plan development.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary services with community partners and provide appropriate legal referrals.
• Maintain accurate case notes, manage case files, and collect required data.

Required profile

• Passionate, solutions‑driven individual committed to supporting vulnerable populations.
• Strong understanding of human trafficking dynamics and related legal frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse, multicultural clients.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Experience in case management or social services preferred.
