Android Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Android Engineer to join our early‑stage team and build the Android version of Trove from the ground up. You will work closely with the founders, product, design, and engineering teams to shape a high‑quality, consumer‑focused app that matches the experience of our iOS product.

Key responsibilities

• Architect core product systems that will scale long‑term.
• Design and implement high‑fidelity, animation‑heavy user experiences using Jetpack Compose.
• Partner with Product and Design to turn ambiguous ideas into clean, intuitive flows.
• Ship experiments quickly, iterate, and expand on successful features.
• Improve app performance, responsiveness, and reliability at scale.
• Implement networking layers and real‑time updates that power live marketplace activity.
• Make thoughtful trade‑offs between speed of delivery and maintainability.
• Set the bar for code quality, architecture, and engineering culture.
