Alternative Investment Operations Manager

About the role

The Alternative Investment Operations Manager will oversee the settlement of executions across a range of financial instruments and ensure accurate daily reconciliations. This role supports the treasury desk, collaborates with finance, custodians, and fund families, and guarantees timely processing of securities and cash movements to meet collateral requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily transactions for FX, money market, NDFs, interest‑rate swaps, options, repos and related margin controls.
• Initiate same‑currency transfers to facilitate securities settlement, collateral management and liquidity reporting.
• Manage settlement payments, alert trading desks to last‑minute payments or projected overdrafts.
• Supervise custodial relationships and review hedge‑fund and private‑equity documentation before processing.
• Coordinate capital activity, corporate actions (distributions, redemptions, draw‑ups, drawdowns) and client‑contact changes.
• Work with finance to ensure accurate accounting, regulatory reporting and documentation handling.
• Provide training and oversight to team members to maintain operational accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in securities settlement for fixed income and equities.
• Strong knowledge of cash and securities reconciliation processes.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with treasury‑desk products and collateral requirements.
