Alcohol Compliance Supervisor

About the role

Legends Global is recruiting an Alcohol Compliance Supervisor for The Mann Center in Philadelphia. Working under the direction of management, the supervisor ensures responsible service of alcohol throughout the building in line with state and company policies, monitors staff adherence to the Legends Alcohol Policy and assists staff with alcohol-related issues.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the serving of alcohol by event-day employees.
• Hold a pre-shift meeting to share details and notes with the compliance team, and a post-event meeting to review the day's outcomes.
• Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines required by federal, state and local law and company standards.
• Ensure staff adhere to those guidelines.
• Observe, document and report alcohol-related issues, violations, pass-offs and suspected guest intoxication.
• Assist management with setting and communicating the last call time for alcohol sales.
• Maintain a friendly, professional attitude, interact with guests, volunteers and staff, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Experience in a fast-paced environment; alcohol compliance experience or leadership oversight preferred.
• Ability to work all venue events on a flexible schedule, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain responsible alcohol service certifications.
• Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
• Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks and to lift, push or pull about 25 lbs; able to stand or walk up to 10 hours per shift on ramps and stairs.
• High school education or better preferred.

Required skills

• Pennsylvania R.A.M.P. certification (can be provided by the employer upon hiring if necessary).
• Excellent communication skills, proactive, organized and able to prioritize.
• Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and adapt to change quickly.
• Ability to follow and encourage safety policies, complete safety training and report safety incidents through the company's risk management system.
