Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program (ADAP) Coordinator

About the role

The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking a qualified candidate to coordinate the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program (ADAP). This grant‑funded position involves data analysis, compliance monitoring, and delivering training to adults and teens.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data, preparing comprehensive reports for benchmarking and grant reporting.
• Monitor program compliance, assess operations, and identify process improvements.
• Provide technical assistance and computer support for the ADAP information system, tracking expenditures, instructions, and shipments.
• Maintain positive relationships with the Department of Education, local school boards, and grant partners.
• Develop and deliver effective presentations for adult and teen training courses.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with three years related experience, or an associate degree with one year experience.
• Ability to work under pressure, make decisions with limited supervision, and learn quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience creating surveys, newsletters, and advertisements.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and report statistical data.
