Aircraft Systems Installer/Mechanic – A220

About the role

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is seeking an Aircraft Systems Installation Mechanic for the A220 program at its Mobile, AL plant. The role focuses on installing and testing aircraft systems on the final assembly line.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical components at the workstation or aircraft parking area.
• Mark, assemble, adapt, torque and secure mechanical parts according to drawings and specifications.
• Inspect bonding and verify compliance with order, GTI, and technical drawings.
• Check system functions after installation.
• Perform VTP and HTP installation and hydraulic line routing.
• Install components in the belly fairing and flap areas.
• Install air‑conditioning and fuel system components.
• Conduct MLG & tank testing and gauging tests.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in aviation production or a comparable field.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Required skills

• VTP and HTP installation.
• Hydraulic lines installation.
• Air‑conditioning system installation.
• Fuel system installation.
• MLG and tank testing.
• Gauging testing.
