Aircraft Structures Assembler – Mobile, AL

About the role

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is seeking an Aircraft Structures Assembler to join its Mobile, AL team. The position involves performing and assuring structural assemblies of metallic and composite components, including hybrid stacks, in accordance with drawings and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repair work on concessions and discrepancies.
• Position and assemble aircraft structural components.
• Rework external skin damage on aircraft.
• Follow production orders, design documents, concessions and inspection procedures.
• Prepare and solve queries, ensure follow‑up and provide feedback.
• Examine and sort work orders and drawings, and set up the job station for daily activity.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in aviation production or equivalent.
• Ability to complete Airbus‑provided training on aircraft familiarisation.
• Preferred: vocational training or prior employer training in application tools and techniques.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners and torqueing tools.
• Operation of hydraulic lifts and arms.
• Use of respirators in confined‑space environments.
• Working at heights using platforms and lifts.
