About the role
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) supports the Customer Line Phase from First‑of‑Test to hand‑over and then to the final delivery phase. Acting as the technical focal point, the AME manages open items, work orders and technical queries for the operational team.
Key responsibilities
- Handle anomalies in assigned areas (cabin, systems, electrics, structures) and create work instructions for flight‑line rework.
- Provide technical support to flight‑line technicians and oversee directed changes.
- Create and maintain work orders, ALB reviews and non‑conformance documentation.
- Coordinate replacement parts, tools and jigs, and drive continuous‑improvement actions.
- Represent the AME in project meetings, audits (EASA) and liaise with European sites for complex issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering with at least 3 years Airbus experience (or 5 years industry experience).
- Knowledge of aircraft components, systems (hydraulic, electric, mechanical) and maintenance manuals.
- Experience with Airbus IT tools (Zamiz, TAKSY, DocMaster, ECM) and SAP is preferred.
Required skills
- Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and Airbus Drawings interpretation.
- Quality Logbook (eQLB) handling and non‑conformance/Design Query Note management.
- Supply‑chain and quality‑system management.
- Proficiency with SAP and Airbus IT tools (Zamiz, TAKSY, DocMaster, ECM).
