AI ROI Consultant

About the role

CloudZero is launching a new AI ROI Services practice to help customers measure and justify AI spend. The AI ROI Consultant will own the business case and methodology for each engagement, turning attribution data into trusted financial metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end business case and ROI methodology for each customer engagement.
• Convert activity‑to‑return data into a defensible calculation of dollarized operational value, expressed as a ratio and payback period.
• Separate operational returns from strategic returns and apply appropriate rigor to each.
• Partner with data analysts, operations, and the FDE team to capture the necessary spend, activity, and outcome data.
• Present ROI calculations in a format that withstands CFO scrutiny and help productize repeatable processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years at a top‑tier strategy or management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or comparable in‑house strategy role at a senior level.
• Proven track record of building and defending B2B SaaS business cases to skeptical executives.
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling expertise, including ROI, payback, cohort analysis, and sensitivity testing.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced quantitative degree a strong plus.

Required skills

• Claude (AI language model) for analysis and workflow automation.
• AI‑native workflow proficiency for structuring analysis and delivering clean deliverables.
