AI Engineer Manager – Tax Innovation

About the role

PwC is seeking a Tax Innovation AI Engineer Manager to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions that enhance the performance of its Tax practice. You will translate complex business needs into secure, production‑ready AI applications while guiding multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end creation of scalable AI and GenAI solutions for tax services.
• Convert business requirements into secure AI architectures using foundation models, machine learning, NLP, retrieval and agentic technologies.
• Design data, knowledge, and retrieval pipelines, including document processing, vector search and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Develop AI applications with Python, APIs and modern software‑engineering practices.
• Implement agentic workflows, orchestration patterns and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
• Apply MLOps and LLMOps for deployment, monitoring, quality measurement and optimisation.
• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, compliance, Responsible AI, data‑quality and auditability standards.
• Manage project workstreams, coach junior staff and resolve delivery challenges.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Preference for studies in Analytics/Data Science, AI/Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
• Relevant certifications in AI, machine learning, data engineering or cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Databricks) are a plus.
