Advisor Development Program – Financial Advisor (Southwest Florida Coast)

About the role

The Merrill Advisor Development Program is designed for individuals looking to transition into a career as a Financial Advisor. Based in the Southwest Florida Coast market, you will work with high‑net‑worth clients to assess their financial goals and deliver tailored investment recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a book of business to meet and exceed performance targets.
• Source prospective clients through referrals, networking and prospecting activities.
• Assess client needs, recommend suitable investment products, and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Maintain accurate client records and interactions in Salesforce.
• Complete mandatory training, assessments, and continuing education requirements.

Required profile

• Current Series 7 and Series 66 licenses (or Series 63/65 in lieu of 66).
• Minimum one year of experience in the financial services or sales industry, with a proven record of meeting goals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to source clients through extensive prospecting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience using Salesforce for client relationship management.
