Advanced Practice RN/Physician Assistant – Allergy Clinic

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Allergy Clinic. This full‑time position supports patient care, diagnosis, and treatment within a collaborative, academic medical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, obtain histories, and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as authorized.
• Provide patient education on allergy management, medication use, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Document all clinical activities accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic workflow optimization.

Required profile

• Current employee of the University of Arkansas System (including student employees and graduate assistants).
• Valid APRN or PA licensure in Arkansas and proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated experience in allergy or immunology clinical settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
