Advanced Practice RN/PA – Pediatric Orthopedics

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Pediatric Orthopedics team within the Orthopaedics Surgery Bumpass group. This regular, full‑time clinical staff position provides advanced patient care to children undergoing orthopedic treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing or physician‑assistant services to pediatric orthopedic patients.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate care.
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Participate in pre‑operative and post‑operative patient education and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Current licensure as an APRN or PA with eligibility to practice in Arkansas.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Commitment to the mission of UAMS and ability to work in a collaborative clinical environment.
