Advanced Practice RN/PA – IMSL Endocrine Clinic

About the role

The Advanced Practice RN (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) will join the IMSL Endocrine Clinic at UAMS, providing comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders. This full‑time, onsite position supports the clinic’s mission to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, obtain histories, and perform physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
• Manage chronic endocrine conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and osteoporosis.
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic meetings.

Required profile

• Current APRN or PA license with eligibility for board certification.
• Experience in endocrine, primary care, or related clinical settings preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Required skills
