Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant – ENT Clinic

About the role

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) will join the ENT team at UAMS, supporting physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves direct patient care, clinic procedures, and coordination of multidisciplinary services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physicians with clinic operations, organize patient visits, and perform ENT‑specific procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications under physician supervision.
• Manage patient communications, including MyChart messages, phone calls, and prescription refills.
• Follow up on pathology, imaging results, and ensure patients receive education and appropriate post‑visit care.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consults and collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other health‑care professionals.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing (APRN) or a Master’s in Physician Assistant studies.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• Active Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
• Active APRN license (or PA licensure) in Arkansas.
