Adult Protective Services Intake Case Manager (Level 2)

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking an Adult Protective Services (APS) Intake Case Manager 2 to join its Division of Aging Services. This full‑time position works evenings, gathering and assessing referrals of potential maltreatment of vulnerable adults across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, written, or face‑to‑face interviews with reporters to collect referral information.
• Evaluate each referral against APS criteria and determine whether it qualifies for investigation.
• Provide information and referral services for cases that do not meet APS criteria.
• Document all referral details accurately in the Harmony case management system, creating investigation or intervention records as appropriate.
• Check the Harmony database for existing cases or histories related to the referred individual.

Required profile

• Ability to work under general supervision while exercising sound judgment.
• Strong communication skills for interviewing reporters and documenting findings.
• Willingness to travel throughout Georgia as needed.
• Availability to work the 10 am – 7 pm evening shift.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Harmony case management system.
