Adult Protective Services Case Manager (Level 2)

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a dedicated Adult Protective Services Case Manager (Level 2) to serve the Augusta district and surrounding counties. The role involves providing personal support, crisis intervention, and case management to protect vulnerable adults.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial investigations of protective service reports and determine appropriate interventions.
• Assess risk levels for clients and take actions to ensure their safety.
• Provide follow‑up, consultations, and resources to prevent further abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Initiate legal guardianship processes as a last resort for incapacitated adults.
• Maintain accurate documentation and submit reports promptly.
• Stay informed on current policies, laws, and trends in adult protective services.

Required profile

• Works under general supervision to deliver personal support services and crisis intervention.
• Serves as a case manager, evaluating, investigating, and resolving client complaints.
• Acts as a liaison between clients and service providers.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned district.
