Adult Protective Services Case Manager II

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking an Adult Protective Services Case Manager II to provide personal support, crisis intervention, and protective investigations for vulnerable adults across Columbus and surrounding counties.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial investigations of protective service reports and determine appropriate interventions.
• Assess risk levels, provide follow‑up consultations, and connect clients with resources to prevent further abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Initiate legal guardianship processes when necessary as a last resort.
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely reports in accordance with state standards.
• Stay current on policies, laws, and best practices through ongoing training and meetings.
• Perform additional professional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Ability to work under general supervision while delivering personal support services and crisis intervention.
• Experience evaluating, investigating, and resolving client complaints.
• Strong liaison skills between clients and service providers.
• Commitment to protecting vulnerable adults and upholding state regulations.
