Admissions Coordinator / Evaluator

About the role

The Admissions Coordinator/Evaluator provides expert evaluation of student credentials and ensures compliance with LSU undergraduate admission policies, senior college requirements, and statewide articulation agreements. This role directly influences transfer student yield and scholarship decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Research and interpret admission‑related information, applying professional judgment to admit decisions (≈60%).
• Review and update transfer files to ensure accuracy before they become part of the permanent student record (≈25%).
• Maintain knowledge of technical platforms and provide cross‑training as needed (≈10%).
• Perform other duties assigned by Admissions leadership (≈5%).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working in an admissions office and reviewing student credentials.
• Familiarity with LSU undergraduate admission policies, senior college requirements, and state‑wide articulation agreements.
• Strong critical‑thinking, attention‑to‑detail, and orientation toward enrollment strategy.
