Adjunct Spanish Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a qualified adjunct instructor to teach Spanish at Central Georgia Technical College. The position is primarily online, with occasional day or evening classes and travel within the college’s service area.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver associate‑level Spanish instruction, prepare syllabi, lesson plans, and develop program goals.
• Use appropriate teaching techniques, grading procedures, and maintain accurate grade books and records.
• Participate in professional development, meet with students and college staff, and evaluate student progress.
• Potentially serve as lead instructor, mentoring other adjunct faculty.

Required profile

• Earned master’s degree in Spanish or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Submission of a current resume, completed CGTC application, and all relevant transcripts.
• Preference given to candidates with documented post‑secondary teaching experience.

What we offer

• Set fee per course based on a $29 gross hourly rate per contact hour.
• Additional stipends may be provided for student contact hours, orientation, training, and course development.
• Adjunct appointments are temporary, time‑limited contracts for a single academic term.
