Adjunct Psychology Instructor – Various Campus Locations

About the role

Lanier Technical College is seeking qualified professionals to teach psychology courses on a part‑time, non‑benefits‑eligible basis across its multiple campuses. The position is classified as FLSA‑exempt and compensated with a lump‑sum payment based on contact hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional instruction following the approved syllabus and ensure course outcomes meet stated objectives.
• Prepare curriculum materials, develop lesson outlines, and create assessments.
• Evaluate student progress, grade examinations, and maintain accurate grade records.
• Attend in‑service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
• Meet all deadlines set by the Associate Dean of General Education and collaborate with students, staff, and supervisors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Psychology or a master’s with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology plus relevant coursework from a regionally accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a classroom setting and supervise diverse learners.
• Submission of unofficial transcripts is mandatory for consideration.

Required skills

• Knowledge of student information systems.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
