About the role

The Adjunct Instructor will deliver General Education Physics courses for Ogeechee Technical College. This part‑time position supports student learning across face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online formats. The role emphasizes alignment with student learning outcomes and compliance with accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly learning planners that align with established Student Learning Outcomes.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication while delivering course content.
• Review and finalize the course syllabus using department templates.
• Set up and maintain the Blackboard Learning Management System for each class.
• Evaluate student progress toward learning outcomes and provide timely feedback.
• Request and maintain necessary supplies and equipment for the learning environment.
• Submit required documentation such as final grades and attendance records promptly.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, TCSG, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Official transcript confirming a master’s degree in Physics, or a master’s with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Physics.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong commitment to student success initiatives.
• Minimum three years of relevant work or teaching experience in the field.
• Prior college‑level teaching experience with evidence of student‑centered instructional practices is preferred.
