Adjunct Instructor – Health & Wellness (Part‑time)

About the role
AMDA College of the Performing Arts is seeking part‑time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate Health and Wellness courses on its New York campus. The role involves delivering in‑person instruction while leveraging Blackboard Ultra as the learning management system.
Key responsibilities
- Provide instruction aligned with established curricula, course outlines, and schedules.
- Create a learning environment that encourages discussion, critical thinking, and inclusion of diversity content.
- Assess student progress, assign grades, and maintain accurate academic records.
- Stay current in health‑science subject matter and uphold professional conduct and ethics.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.
Required profile
- Terminal degree (PhD, DSc, etc.) in Health Science, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physiology or a related field.
- Extensive higher‑education experience, including a Master’s degree in a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of teaching Health and Wellness at the post‑secondary level.
- Demonstrated ability to use innovative, student‑centered teaching methods and technology.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and commitment to academic excellence.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Blackboard Ultra Learning Management System.
