Adjunct Instructor, English

About the role

The Georgia State Government, through Ogeechee Technical College, seeks a part‑time Adjunct Instructor to teach General Education English courses. The position supports student learning across face‑to‑face, hybrid and online formats and is offered on an academic‑term basis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop weekly lesson plans aligned with Student Learning Outcomes and prepare course syllabi using college templates.
• Manage and update course content in the Blackboard Learning Management System to facilitate student engagement.
• Assess student progress, assign grades, and maintain accurate attendance and documentation.
• Maintain classroom supplies and equipment, and ensure compliance with institutional, TCSG and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in English (or a master’s with at least 18 graduate credit hours in English).
• Minimum three years of relevant teaching or professional experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities and a commitment to student success.
• Prior college‑level teaching experience and familiarity with both online and traditional instructional modalities is preferred.
