About the role

Pierpont Community & Technical College is inviting qualified professionals to join as adjunct faculty across a wide range of academic disciplines. These part‑time teaching positions allow experts to share their knowledge with community and technical college students at any Pierpont location.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, lead discussions, and design assignments in your area of expertise.
• Develop and refine course syllabi, ensuring compliance with departmental and college standards.
• Assess student performance through grading of papers, quizzes, exams, and participation.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and submit grades via the ROAR system.
• Provide academic advising and hold regular office hours for student support.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and course outcomes.
• Stay current with developments in your discipline and incorporate innovations into instruction.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in the discipline you intend to teach (preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in the selected field.
• Ability to create engaging learning experiences for diverse student populations.
• Commitment to meeting scheduled class times and adhering to college policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard learning management system for syllabus posting and grade book management.
