Adjunct Faculty – Paralegal (Face‑to‑Face)

About the role

East Texas A&M University seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Paralegal courses on a face‑to‑face basis at its Dallas campus. This part‑time position involves delivering live lectures, guiding student discussions, and ensuring academic standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Teach live lectures to paralegal students at the Dallas campus.
• Develop, manage, and update the course syllabus in line with department and college standards.
• Plan and deliver lectures, facilitate in‑class discussions, and design assignments.
• Assess student performance through participation, assignments, examinations, and provide grades.
• Mentor and assist students as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Minimum three years of practicing law, with direct experience working with paralegals or legal assistants.
• Active license to practice law in a U.S. state.
• Current knowledge of paralegal subject matter and ability to stay up‑to‑date.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
