Adjunct Faculty – Mathematics Department

About the role

We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Department of Mathematics at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. This fixed‑term appointment focuses on delivering high‑quality undergraduate instruction, fostering student success, and contributing to the department’s academic mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned undergraduate mathematics courses, preparing syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments.
• Develop and update course materials, grade student work, and maintain accurate records of performance and attendance.
• Hold regular office hours to provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and collaborative initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate mathematics effectively; prior teaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
