Adjunct Economics Instructor – Part‑Time (Various Campuses)

About the role

The Lanier Technical College is seeking a part‑time Adjunct Economics Instructor to teach economics courses across its campuses. The position is temporary, appointed per academic term, and focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction to adult learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional instruction based on the approved course syllabus and ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Prepare curriculum, lesson outlines, and teaching materials for assigned economics courses.
• Evaluate student progress, administer and grade examinations, and maintain accurate grade records.
• Attend in‑service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
• Ensure safety and security standards are upheld in training areas.
• Meet all deadlines set by the Associate Dean of General Education.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Economics from a regionally accredited institution.
• Ability to work effectively in a classroom setting and supervise diverse adult learners.
• Submission of unofficial transcripts as part of the application process.

Required skills

• Develop lesson outlines and instructional materials.
• Proficient use of computers and job‑related software programs.
• Knowledge of student information systems.
