Adjunct Continuing Education Instructor – Aerospace

About the role

The Continuing Education Adjunct Instructor – Aerospace delivers non‑credit classroom instruction and evaluates student progress toward defined goals. This part‑time role supports adult learners in aerospace‑related subjects while adhering to Technical College System of Georgia policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and develop program outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Evaluate students’ ongoing progress and maintain accurate records of performance.
• Request and manage supplies, equipment, and budgetary needs for courses.
• Maintain program certification requirements and complete required administrative reports.
• Stay current with industry trends by attending trainings, workshops, and conferences.
• Ensure a secure classroom environment and meet safety and security standards.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
• Three years of experience in a business environment (experience may substitute for the degree).
• Preferred: documented work experience with aircraft maintenance, sheet‑metal, composites, or sealants.
• Preferred: experience providing employee training in aerospace or teaching related technical courses.
• Preferred: background working in a military environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers and job‑related software.
• Ability to adapt instructional material to diverse learning styles.
• Knowledge of effective instructional methods for adult learners.
• Understanding of aircraft maintenance, sheet‑metal work, composites, and sealants.
