Adjunct Chemistry Instructor (Part‑time)

About the role

The Adjunct Instructor will teach General Education Chemistry courses at Ogeechee Technical College, preparing students with a solid foundation in chemistry concepts and laboratory skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a weekly planner that aligns with Student Learning Outcomes.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication of course content.
• Review and finalize the course syllabus using department templates.
• Set up and maintain the Blackboard Learning Management System for each class.
• Evaluate student progress toward learning outcomes.
• Request and maintain supplies and equipment needed for instruction.
• Submit final grades, attendance records, and other required documentation promptly.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, TCSG, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Chemistry (or equivalent with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Chemistry).
• Three years of relevant work or teaching experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong commitment to student success initiatives.
