About the role

The Department of Human Services, Division of Child Support Services, is seeking an Accounting Technician 1 to support the financial operations that underpin child support enforcement in Georgia. This entry‑level position works under the Financial Operations Supervisor and contributes to timely processing of child support payments.

Key responsibilities

• Research financial reports and resolve undistributed collections to expedite child support payments.
• Coordinate with field and state office personnel to address financial issues quickly.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency procedures related to child support disbursements.
• Perform additional professional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of government financial procedures and child support regulations.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work under direct supervision.
