Accounting Associate

About the role

Dana-co, a women’s intimate apparel company, is seeking a dependable, detail‑oriented Accounting Associate to join its finance team. This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on accounting experience in a small or midsize company who enjoys managing day‑to‑day transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a variety of accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

• Process and accurately record routine accounting transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and proper approval.
• Prepare and maintain accounting schedules, spreadsheets, and financial records.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, vendor, and other assigned accounts.
• Research and help resolve discrepancies in accounts, invoices, and payments.
• Assist with journal entries and month‑end closing activities.
• Support the preparation of internal financial reports and audit documentation.

Required profile

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• One to three years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience.
• Experience working within a small or midsize company is strongly preferred.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and organizing financial data.
• Experience with accounting or ERP software; QuickBooks or similar systems.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
