Accountant – Corporate Finance

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a motivated and analytical Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting team. The role maintains the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial information while supporting reporting, month‑end close, and a variety of accounting initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Research account activity and resolve reconciliation differences.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and other departments on business initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and efficiency through technology.
• Participate in cross‑training and maintain consistent accounting procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Two or more years of accounting experience, including general ledger and month‑end close.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for organizing and analyzing financial data.
• Analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Initiative, accountability, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
