Account Policy Specialist

About the role

The Account Policy Specialist supports the Operations and Resiliency Group by advising on policy and strategy for master accounts, payment accounts, excess balance accounts, joint accounts, and designated financial market utilities. Reporting to the RBAS Director, the role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective account management throughout the customer relationship.

Key responsibilities

• Act as policy advisor for a range of Federal Reserve account types and financial services.
• Engage with customers, legal, credit, risk, compliance, and policy teams to interpret and apply account policies.
• Synthesize research and analysis for senior leadership and various Federal Reserve System stakeholders.
• Collaborate with RBAS Account Managers to review and approve account and service requests.
• Lead bi‑weekly stakeholder meetings on account access reviews and participate in system‑wide workgroups.
• Represent RBAS in risk and audit reviews and manage related projects.

Required profile

• Experience working within the Federal Reserve System or a comparable financial institution.
• Strong understanding of account policy, regulatory environment, and financial services.
• Ability to analyze complex policy implications and propose actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
