Account Manager – Financial Services

About the role

The Account Manager will lead the New York Fed’s provision of accounts and services to financial institutions in the second Federal Reserve district, driving strategy, planning, and decision‑making to deliver high‑quality outcomes for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end relationships for a portfolio of customers.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute business initiatives and obtain relevant input.
• Provide guidance on Federal Reserve System account and financial services policies, practices, and procedures.
• Own the end‑to‑end processes for account opening and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Prepare written reports that interpret analyses and connect recommendations to the broader picture.
• Lead bi‑weekly stakeholder meetings on account access reviews.
• Support quarterly Board Database reporting, reconciliations, and ad‑hoc analysis.
• Administer the Account Request Tool (ART) to facilitate account and service requests.
• Engage stakeholders for compliance testing, risk, and audit reviews.
• Manage projects within the role.

Required profile

• Strong customer service, critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Advanced collaboration and written/verbal communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of internal controls, risk management, BSA/AML and OFAC compliance.
• Knowledge of project‑management methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.

Required skills

• Advanced PC and technical proficiency with Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SharePoint Online, Tableau, Salesforce, and Launchpad Pro (Generative AI).
• Experience using project‑management tools and methodologies.
